  1. I am having a hard time right now, seems like I am slipping back to old habits, especially with sweets. I love Easter time and Easter candy and I keep buying jelly beans and the marshmallow peeps. I am feeling like I am loosing control, especially when I see that the scale is not moving.
  2. You look great and love the new hair cut!
  3. Glad that you are being blessed in so many ways! Congratulations!!!
  4. Same here, I am 2 weeks post-op today. I think like 4 days after my surgery, I dropped 12 pounds. Then it started creeping back up so now I am at 10 lb weight loss, but it has been stuck there for 1 week but feels like 1 month. I keep telling myself it has to come off eventually, just hope I didn't have major surgery for nothing!
  5. I actually pureed some chili with a little extra hot sauce and it didn't bother my stomach. I needed something other than mashed potoatos and applesauce.
  6. I wouldn't worry about what the doctor's say and go for what you want to get down too. Although that would be discouraging, prove them wrong!!! My sis-in-law was about your height and she has lost over 130 lbs so it is possible. Good luck dear!
  7. My surgery was in Monday also, and my first BM was today. I am thinking mine was due to some antibiotics my PCP put me in yesterday for a sinus infection or some caffinated tea that I drunk last nite.
  8. DallasMom, I had my surgery on 9/12 also and like you, it seems to get worse as the days go by. I actually felt better than expected the night after surgery then it went down hill from there. I think I just don't like the weakness I am feeling, but finding it hard to get all if my fluids in. I pray it does get better in a few days as everyone is saying. The best of luck to ya!
  9. I never really had an issue with high blood pressure, until 2 months ago when I started this process for my sleeve surgery. I was just thinking it was stress. Now they are keeping me again to get it down. Has anyone else had this problem? I so want to go home! I knew everything was going too smoothly. I felt good yesterday after surgery. Today I feel like crap, not to mention topping it off with a sinus headache,
  10. Thanks everyone! I am still up doing stuff. Starting to get nervous!
  11. So excited, surgery is in the morning! Mentally preparing myself for what the next 4 weeks will be like with this liquid diet today. So ready for this life transformation!
  12. I have been wondering the same thing but since my surgery was originally scheduled for this holiday week I was saying I was just taking some extra days off. I have only told my immediate family and a few friends if which one is overly concerned to the point if not wanting me to have it. My body, my life! Don't get me wrong, I am glad that they are concerned but I just wonder if that is all there is to it.
  13. I know Emily, that really meant a lot that he called me personally. He said he felt bad but he wanted to concentrate on the surgery instead of focusing on his pain. I love that he is a perfectionist, yet believes in God himself. That is a real plus with me! He also did my sis-in-laws surgery and she looks great (has lost 136 lbs).
  14. Thanks KellyL and kellyw74! But you know you have that little bit of doubt wondering if that was a sign that you shouldn't have it done. But I am going to trust and believe that everything will be fine. I just got a call back from the doctor's office and I am now set for Sept. 12th. Not the first patient this time, but hey, I'll take it! Maybe his coffee will be good and kicked in by then. I am so ready to start my "new" life. Yay!!!
  15. Thanks MeMeMEEE, I just hope I don't eat myself info a hole while I wait (hehe). I guess it really was a good thing being that it is flooding here.
