Totally normal. I didn't go until I started drinking protein shakes, about 5 or 6 days out and even then, it wasn't really "going."

Sorry bur i figure someone had gone through this.. I was sleeved on monday and still have not gone #2..any suggestions? Thanks friends

My surgery was in Monday also, and my first BM was today. I am thinking mine was due to some antibiotics my PCP put me in yesterday for a sinus infection or some caffinated tea that I drunk last nite.

Pain meds and the lack of food will make you not go, and, or constipated. It took me a week to go after surgery and it was NOT comfortable. I ended up taking Milk of Magnesium for 3 days before I went as well. No worries, you're normal :)

soy protein helped me. now at 4 weeks post op i go every day again!

My Dr. gave me somethingto drink every 4 hours. She said it´s for my bowels and It´s definitely working.

SAME HERE, it was day 5 I think for me. It was bad.. I now take a cap of miralax per day to avoid this.

I have had constipation issues ever since surgery. I was as regular as clockwork prior. I am 5 months post op and still take a stool softener every other day. My doctor also said to take Milk of Magnesia if I haven't had a BM or 5-6 days. That seems to work like a charm.

I've always had issues :( Miralax is the bomb! but it does take a couple days to work.......and keep in mind, nothing in nothing out....lol
