Halloween (Oct. 31) - What will you Weigh?

Recommended Posts

Congrats on being in Onederland! I am 1 pound away from reaching my Halloween goal of 199 and ONEDERLAND!!!!! So hard to believe.

Congrats again.

Sheila

What a great week! Had a stall last week. This week I dropped 7#- yeah!! AND.... I'm in onderland to boot!! 10# by Halloween is still pretty aggressive, but I have a hunch I will get close- gonna have a bunch of things going on next week that will have me doing a TON of walking. So we will see how it goes.

Thank you so much for the kind words. The stalls do get frustrating but having lost 76# in basically 3 1/2 months would never have been a possibility before. I know the sleeve will help me once I get to goal, but I have yo-yo'd so many times in life I worry I will become complacent and begin the yo-yo again. Since I told so few people, most just assume I'm on another downward spin of the yo-yo and while they are happy to see me loose weight, it does help I don't have to explain too much "how" I'm doing it. :-)

You are doing great also. It feels so good to see the scale start with a "1" - you are so close!

Congrats on being in Onederland! I am 1 pound away from reaching my Halloween goal of 199 and ONEDERLAND!!!!! So hard to believe.

Congrats again.

Sheila

*Update* Down another 7 lbs since Oct. 2! Weigh loss starting to slow just a tad. Working hard to lose that last 7 in the next 14 days!

Update:

Current weight 245! Surpassed my Halloween goal! Still 29 days to go. I'll make a New goal to 230. Wish me luck!

Still on the way--I was seriously hoping to exceed my goal, but it looks like I'm going to be pushing just to make it! That's okay--I've been at 215 for three days, and if my pattern holds, in a day or two I'll start dropping and will drop around a pound a day for a couple, then plateau again. I lose in this strange stair-step pattern, but as long as my weight is going the right direction, I'm all okay with that!!

Good luck, eveyone! We're in the home stretch now!!

Close to goal. Some how being in the 180's is a bigger deal to me than making Onederland. I guess because the last diet where I lost more than 10lbs was 10 yeas ago and I only got down to 197.

Yeah Yeah This morning I finally broke 190!!! Guess I should set a new goal for halloween Maybe 186.5 sounds good.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
