Thank you, I am excited and starting to get nervous. I have to be at the hospital at 7:40 (have to leave the house shortly after 6:30) and surgery is scheduled for 10:10. I won't be able to update until I get home because I am leaving my laptop at home, even though I could get wireless internet in the hospital.

Good luck to the others getting sleeved tomorrow.

I know what you mean about the nerves. The night before mine, I was really nervous. But then the morning of the surgery I was really calm - kind of at peace with it. You'll do just fine and wake up a totally new person!

Thank you! Just woke up (5 am) and I am getting ready to go. I have to be at the hospital at 7:30 and surgery is at 9:00. I had a 4 hour drive to get here yesterday. The plan is 1 night in the hospital (2 if needed) and 1 night in the hotel that is next door to the hospital then drive back. I am praying for no nausea or severe pain. I've had 3 other surgeries that were difficult so I have some anxiety. My friend who used this doctor and had the same drive home didn't have any trouble so I'm hoping for the same. A year later and she is down 90 lbs and is very happy! Well it's time to go. I'll talk to you on the other side of this. Losers bench here I come.

Just about to head out. I slept really well which surprised me. I'll update when I get home.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
