The dreaded hair loss

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a picture of themselves during their mass Hair loss. I'm so nervous about this, even if it does grow back, do you get big bald spots, is it really noticable, did you have to explain it to people, do you look crazy???? OMG

No, I've lost half of my hair, but I really doubt anyone but me notices. My ponytail is about half as thick as it used to be. I lost hair again when I had my gall bladder out a year after sleeve surgery.

I had thick hair to begin with. I have heard of some people who had thin hair to begin with and did decide to wear a wig for awhile.

Hello ladies! I have been a cosmetologist since 2008 and being a wls patient since then as well this is a question that I am asked a lot!. Hair loss like this is a condition called alopecia areotta (I know I butchered that ha ha). I do not think nioxin Shampoo and conditioner will help with this as all actually. I have seen. It slow it down but not help with the regrowth although some stylist reccomenc I would not. I myself endorse few products because I have been in your shoes and I understand what you feeling and how fast it's happening. For shampoo and conditioner I would only recommend one product to help you get your hair back. It's actually a treatment system called bosely (made by the restoration for men) I reccomenc this to anyone experiencing hair loss or anyone with fine thin hair. I can truly say that I have seen this product work. It's a three step system, shampoo, condition and treatment my boss's only uses the shampoo and her hair looks great she was naturally thinning and it looks so much better today then It did a year ago. Check out therelroduct look for reveiws. I would recommend as well protien protien protien and Biotin lots of it. One way to tell if you have a problem with your Vitamins and protien intake is going to be through your finger nails. You fingernails will be different then normal and they will slow growing as well our fingernails grow at the same rate as our hair so that may be something to look into as well.

I've been dealing with hair and nail issues for over a year already, due to hypothyroid. My stick straight, thick hair is now curly and fine, and a lot of it fell out. My nails became paper thin and broke constantly. I've learned to just live with the changes in my hair, and now I try to rock the curls. I use a sea salt styling spray to give my hair some oomph, found a great nail product and now can't get my nails to stop growing. If my hair changes again, I'll just deal with it. I'm glad I have a very short haircut!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
