I ate some melted cheese last night

Recommended Posts

I was so desperate for something with FLAVOR. Something other than broth, friggin Protein Shake or Jello that I literally slicked a couple of slices of cheese off a black hubby was using for a dish he was making, put it on a plate, put in the microwave for 30 seconds and ate that cheese like a steak. I couldn't finish it all but 14 days of Clear liquids is just plain hell.

It was so good. It was Colby. The salty flavor was devine. I did have a little pain afterward but all in all I'm okay. I'm craving salmon now like a muther.

I cant believe you were on Clear Liquids for 14 days! These dr's are all so vastly different! My Dr's plan was clears for 3 days then full liquids until 2 weeks out, then soft foods until 1 month out, then normal food. I keep worrying im going to damage something because most of you guys have a much more strict plan early out. Im almost 3 weeks and all has been fine so far. I quess this is the way he has always done it so i have to trust him it just seems too quick compared to everyone else.

That must be torture to be on liquids for that long!!

My plan is much like b190's. Clears for 3 days, full liquids for 2 weeks, pureed for 2 weeks, soft foods for 3 weeks, then normal foods.

It is so weird how everyone's plan varies so drastically!

Be careful eating something not within your guidelines, it can really cause trouble!

Kelly ;)

I was on full liquids right off the bat (two weeks) but after about 12 days, I was DYING for cheese, so I had 2-3 little pieces of an American cheese slice, about 1/2" square each, and let them melt on my tongue and it was sooooo delicious. Amazing how sick you can get of sweet stuff, isn't it?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
