Okay, I have a question regarding the criteria for making threads a "sticky". The thread has to be of "perrienial and general interest". Why are the threads for BMI over 50 and Slow Losers Unite considered of general interest? They also apply to only a select portion of bandsters, not the general membership. I dont mind saving this to favorites, I am just curious.

I wondered the same thing. I'm curious to see what the answer will be.

That would be an Alexandra question.

The number of "stickied" threads was getting out of hand, so we have decided on a new policy to govern what gets stuck. To wit:

----------------------------------

Sticky Policy: Only threads about banding that are of truly perennial and general interest will be made sticky. Popular threads with a lot of action will always be near the top of their forums anyway, so we have decided to take a less-is-more approach to sticking threads from here on out.

----------------------------------

Just FYI. :biggrin1:

Here it is, found it

So I get it....this thread gets plenty of action and will always be at the top. I guess it was the other threads I was wondering about. But I see the need for them to available to anyone researching or etc... and should not get lost in the shuffle.

Christy, what a difference! Your pants are baggy!! I wish I had your height to spread my 5'2" out more.

Are you planning to have a body lift for loose skin later, or are you young enough that the skin will go back as it should. I remember when my skin was elastic...it ain't now.

Thanks for the pictures! What a motivation.

Christy: You are doing great! I can TOTALLY see the difference!

Telly: Have fun at the beach... Now your legs get a chance to catch up with the major tan you have happening on your arms!

P'Nut: Have a great time, and drink one for me! I just realized that I haven't even had a Margarita since my B Day almost a year ago!!!

How lame is that?????

Hi,

My name is Sunshine (yes, that's my real name and no my parents aren't hippies)

I am being banded this month so it's the perfect time for me to sign up. Accountability will help sooo much. What a great club!

my stats are H-234. S-222, G-145

So, basically I weigh in every Wednesday and post it here in this thread?

Looking forward to July...it's gonna be the best summer I've ever had!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
