Confession time ...

Two weeks ago, I started choosing some no-so-good foods to eat while I was PMSing ... carried over to the week of ... and this week too. Normally, I don't say any foods are "off limits", but I keep choices small and few between. But, the last couple of weeks were crazy. YIKES!!!!!

So, the scale showed 130.2 this morning. 2.2 over my "top bounce point". I needed this wake-up call to make sure I stay on track.

Back to basics starting now!!!!!! Anyone want to be my accountability buddy while I get things back in control?

I don't know Dr. Atkinson, but I would definitely recommend Dr. Umbach to anyone. I had an awesome experience with him & he is a very good surgeon.

When that time of the month hits and I want to snack, I eat Pork rinds. I remember reading about may eating them on here. 0 carbs, 70 calories, 7 grams of Protein. They have been my lifesaver because I have major "head" hunger during TOM. SO irritating! MINI-me we are here for you anytime! You will get that weight off. You have done so well and are such an inspiration!

Awww hugs Mini!!! You know what though, you caught yourself. So many times in my life I've ignored the scale and just did what I wanted. No more, and when/if it were to go over my topping point when I hit goal, I'll have to get right too. So, thank you for posting this because since Im not in maintenance mode this isn't something I've really considered happening.

Hang in there!! It already sounds like you are back on track. A few days of super low carbs and you will be back to where you started. :) Never forget, YOU ROCK!!!

@Becca, excellent suggestion, thanks!!

I definitely depend on my "across the pond friends". You guys are inspiration to me as well.

Back on track the last two days ... scales showed 128.4 today. Will closely watch until scale back to 125 and then try my "normal routine" again minus the glutony of treats.

You guys rock!

Whoohooo!! I never doubted ya. ;) And you know, it would take an act of congress for me to change mine. I'd have to stay at the higher weight for a month at least. :lol:

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
