Road to "TWOterville"

Recommended Posts

Well that two pounds is gone again, hopefully for good this time. Losing...you can dooo it! Just keep going you're doing great! Faith, welcome to the challenge. I added the 18 in the To Go column, difference from your current to that mark. Hope that was okay. Everyone have a great week 5! I'm taking off tomorrow for my longest Harley ride. 500 miles to Amarillo. Gotta love Texas. That doesn't even get me out of the state..lol I'm hoping to ride off a couple of extra pounds for next week. Plus I get my fill next Tuesday which I definately need. I didn't get one last month and as the results show, I probably should have. Ah well... in for the long haul...have to keep reminding myself of that.

You know, I had problems logging in yesterday and now I have to play catch up! LOL!!

Molly....great NSV!!!

Losingjusme! You'll make it to 100 this week! I know you will.

Ridin...have a great time!

I had a fill last Friday and it feels like NOTHING! He filled me and then said "oops, a little too much" then took some out. I still don't feel restriction!!! I was hoping for more of a kick but with that whole "fat around the stomach" bit, I'm thinking maybe this is the best it's gonna get from now on. I'm going to have to start relying on some willpower.

Hey all, well I am back from first fill! It wasn't bad. I have lost 5 lbs since surgery. I am happy with that because I feel like I have been eating too much. I am trying to put my ticker in this post, wish me luck!

Katie, it may take a couple of fills before you really start feeling some restriction, so don't worry if you don't feel it right now.

Tann, I was wondering if we were going to hit at the same time again...lol I didn't get moving towards the computer to fast this morning.

Katie, go to your UserCP thing and put your ticker in your signature. It should show up correctly then. (fingers crossed :) )

Libra, I've been trying to live on will power for the past month. It has not been pretty..lol Hopefully your fill will kick in to help. I'm hoping my next one will as well. I'm ready to move on out of the 70's and flashback to the 60's! :peace:

I am trying to have some self control without having a huge amount of restriction. It's not easy but I did better today. I logged everything I ate on sparkpeople and stayed within my calories range and got in all my protien. I am afraid of being too tight again but I think I definitely need to go back up to 9.5 it seemes to be a magic number for me. I will not be going any tighter than that though. I got on the scale this morning and I've been in a bad mood all day. I will not even utter aloud how much I've gained because I am spitting mad at myself. It is my own fault for eating chips, Cookies and ice cream.

Hang in there Molly! We're all allowed our rough times. Just try and stay focused on the long run and your final destination and how you will feel. We have to retrain our brains, emotions and all. You can do it!!

Hi Molly, I agree...hang in there. All of you are such an inspiration to me. I'm trying to get where you are. It also helps to know that even as successful as you are, you have some rough Patches along the way. It makes the journey "realistic" to me. If you never had bad days, or never had slip ups, then I (or others like me) would probably think that they could never do this... So thanks for being in inspiration, and keep trucking along...you'll bounce back.

Oh yeah, before I forget...Tann and Molly, thanks for opening the door to Twoterville, too!!! I'm still bouncing off the walls...LOL. If I can express to you how shocked I was when I got on the scale. I must have looked at the number a couple of times before I realized it wasn't changing...

Hey all,

Had my first fill yesterday, not at all what I expected but I don't feel any restriction at all. I am on liquids until tomorrow and started TOM yesterday so I am of course HUNGRY! I can make it through the liquids and have to wait a whole month to go back for the 2nd fill. Got 1cc yesterday and they said another 1cc next time. I hope this works for me. At least I am down from my initial consult 15lbs. thats a nsv. I was just praying I had lost something from my week post op visit and I had lost 5 lbs. of course I think I am retaining a little from TOM being right here and just starting. I hope so. I want to thank all of you for being an inspiration to me daily when I check these boards. And I am hoping that your advice shows up in the form of a signature at the end of this post!

Here's hoping!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
