Help!! Need to drop 4lbs by Friday for Approval

Recommended Posts

I am not ready to do a 100% carbless diet (can't function at work with the withdrawl headache and I have three major meetings coming up that I need to be at my best for) but I need to drop 4lbs by Friday for approval. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Girl I had this EXACT same problem with my surgery. I had gained some weight around Christmas time and my surgeon cancels surgeries if you gain weight. My advice to you is eat REALLY good and drink lots of Water. Do not drink soda! Also if you want to go this far, purchase Magnesium Citrate in the laxative section at the store. It's a NASTY drink but it will completely clear your bowels. I had to drink this the day before surgery. Make sure you drink it early in the day and be near a bathroom because that stuff works!!!! Also exercise just 30 min or more a day.

Thank you everyone. I, too gained weight during the Christmas holiday and I have my (hopefully) final nut appointment on Friday. I needed to lose 6 lbs as of my last nut appointment and I have, according to my scale, only lost 2. Do you know if Midol works for Fluid as well as bloating? I don't think my GP will prescribe me fluid pills right now and I don't know of any over the counter fluid pills.

Midol doesn't really work well, there is a better one,, DIRUEX-dumps salt, thus Water, go to CVS or Walgreen's and ask them, some women gain a lot for periods. Also, cut salt and carbs, wear light clothes (no bra, underwear under a sundress-LOL), no dinner night before, clean your gut out. Tell your Dr that you are premenstrual and holding onto 5 pounds right now..hehe

Then afterwards, drink some freaking water and eat a meal!!

Drink clear broth n lots of water...do not eat at least a day before weigh in and only do Clear Liquids. Also a day before weigh in, or that night, take a load of laxitives!!!! You'll drop 5 lbs overnight

I would try a liquid diet the day before your weigh in. I know it will be hard, but the sleeve is worth it!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
