Just a quick update. I just finished week 8 post-op. It hasn't been easy. I struggle with getting my required fluids and Protein on a daily basis. Everyday is a learning process but I'm glad to be on the journey. I lost 15 lbs pre-op on my 7 day liquid diet. I have lost 35 since surgery 8 weeks ago. I did have a 2 week stall on my third week. My favorite thing to drink is ice cold Water....I hated Water before surgery. I haven't started a work out routine yet. I'm trying to find the energy. I'm posting my progress pics, please forgive the horrible hair as the pics are taken before I get ready for work.

It is just so hard to believe the weight loss but I can't stop dreaming, thinking that could be me in the following year. Keep it up. Want to see more pics as you progress.

Thanks everyone. I'm finally starting to see a difference. It's hard to tell while you're going through it at first. I think it took me at least 35 lbs before there was any significant change in my clothing size. I wish everyone luck on your journey. It is definitely worth it.

Great job Tamboo!!! Thanks for posting your check-in... I certainly appreciate it. :) Keep up the good work.

For me I only see the progress in my photos. I rarely see it just by looking in the mirror. Strange huh?

I'm almost 4 weeks post-op, and smack in the middle of a 2-week plateau. I too lost 15 on the pre-op diet, and now love ice cold water! I hate that I've stalled, but it's so comforting to know that I'm not the only one and that it will happen. Even though I'm very disheartened now, I'm going to try like heck to get the losing kick-started again!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
