Well, I know this probably has been asked a million time, well here goes a million and one. What are you normally eating after you are on mushies? I just need some new ideas on how much you eat and what you eat in a days time.

I'm new at this, too, so I won't be TOO much help...but...I found two new great things that I love, and my nut said were good.

--Turkey Sausage-by Ekrich-it's got 8-10 grams of Protein per serving, low in carbs-I cut it up in tiny pieces and just throw it in a pan

-- I take cooked ham-lots of Protein too, the lunch meat kind, and spread chive and onion cream cheese on it, and roll it up, the cream cheese has a few grams of protein, not too many carbs

Hope I was a little bit of help! :)

Oh, also, watermelon and cucumber seem to go down well-but if you don't like the carbs in the watermelon, that's understandable. My nut said that it was okay, but now I'm wondering if it's worth it. :)

Your best bet is cottage cheese, eggs and Greek yogurt. Those are my staple foods. A 1/2 cup of cottage cheese has 15 grams of Protein and 5 grams of carbs. Greek yogurt is between 12 to 20 grams of Protein per container depending on which brand you get. If you get the Greek yogurt with fruit your carb count goes up to about 17 grams. I get the ones without fruit and they are about 6 grams of carbs. I count carbs, so this very important to me.

Good luck, Lisa.

Hi Vickie, I used the sugar free DaVinci Gourmet Syrup. There are several flavors, like caramel and raspberry. 2 Tbsps have zero calories, carbs and 10 mg of soduim. I just mix it in my Greek plain yogurt and to me it's very tasty.

You can also mix it in your Protein shakes if need be.

You can buy the DaVinci syrups at Sams Club and some grocery stores. Make sure you get the sugar free one tho. There are some DaVincis that are not sugar free.

I hope this helps.

Deb;)

I just barely tolerate cottage cheese, and I have tried greek yogurt and it was nasty, but adding those syrups may do the trick. I am counting carbs too. Deb, how many carbs do you get in a day? I am having trouble sometimes getting any carbs in because I have a hard time trying to get all my protein in as I can not stand Protein drinks ever since surgery. I somtimes get 25 to 35 carbs in a day, do you think that too much I am only getting about 600 to 800 calories a day.

By the way, I went to Perkins the other night, not sure if anybody has Perkins in your area or not, but they have a spicy mango talapia. It was so good. Of course I could only eat part of the talapia. My sister winded up eating my baked potato and the veggies were disgusting. I been having this fish thingy lately, baked of course.

Oh well, I think I will try the Syrup in the greek yogurt and that will help out a lot and give a lot of different taste instead of just the same old chicken salad and tuna salad all the time.

Thanks for all your input it really helps a lot!!!!!

Greek yogurt has more Protein and less carbs than regular yogurt. Get some cheese cake flavored sf pudding and mix that in with it. it's yummy!

I also use frozen blue berries and I packet of stevia. also very yummy. I use the da vinchi syrups too, but these are some other good ideas that make Greek Yogurt almost like a dessert.

I have heard of putting crystal light in with the Greek yogurt. My friend LOVES it with lemonade. I have not tried it yet but need to. I am having a terrible time getting all of my Protein in.

Plain Greek yogurt is disgusting. Mixing it with different things opens up a whole new world.

Chaboni is a brand that is really good .Strawberry/banana is really good and so is Blueberry.

It's higher in carbs that way. That's why I'd rather mix in SF pudding with it, or any of the DaVinchi flavored syrups.< /p>

The DaVinchi and the Torrenni syrups are 0 carbs or calories. It turns the yogurt into a yummy treat with a lot of Protein.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
