I’ve found that popcorn is a MAJOR slider food for me, so I have to be very very careful with it. I can eat a ridiculous amount of it before I feel any restriction if I end up feeling any at all.

Hello everyone,

I have not had any problems eating popcorn at all. In fact it was wonderful except for one problem...I started gaining weight. I researched it and found out it was called a "slider". Meaning that there are not a lot of calories, it is easy to eat a lot of it and there isn't any nutritional value to it, according to the research I found. It made me bloated, caused me some Water gain, and I gained a few pounds overnight!

I think as long as it is maybe the 100 calorie back, it is probably okay. Just watch your scale and how your stomach is feeling

Good luck!

Popcorn...it goes down just fine and has since about 6 months post op. It is so easy to overeat that I try to avoid. I haven't said I will never eat popcorn again...but it isn't something I can use as a regular snack.< br>

I’ve eaten it a few times, and I’ve had no issues.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
