Almost 2mos out...25 Lost

Recommended Posts

:tongue_smilie:

So I have been faithful to my diet and exercise. I get around 900 cals per day I get at least 60 grams of Protein and around 90 grams of carbs. I work out everyday for 30mins some days 1 hour (I started about 3 weeks out) I feel that I am not meeting my doctors expectations for my weight loss-- he was not impressed with my loss. I guess that has made me more motivated which is good. I started out pre-op at 208 then got down to 190 the day of surgery. Today I am 165 and I am okay with that...kinda everyone else with this surgery has me beat with 30 and 40 pounds at 2mos. I don't really restrict my carbs as much as some people do though. It can really over stress your body if you stay in Ketosis for too long..so I would rather be healthy and loose slower I guess but it just makes me jealous how fast others are loosing!! LOL:laugh0: Just so you know I only eat good carbs like fruits..and soon more veggies I can't wait to have salad again but I'm a little afraid of it still they say it is hard to digest. I have small amounts of whole wheat toast and today I had whole wheat pita bread with hummus yum! I also like rice! SUSHI IS A FAV!

Anyways I am just wanting opinions and I won't judge if you don't agree with the carb thing.. be honest :001_rolleyes:

I think your loss is great.... It is quite similar to mine... 25 pounds at 7 weeks. Keep up the good work. ALSO... be sure you are getting enough Protein in... sounds like you are eating a lot of other stuff.

I believe one it is the carbs I only get about 700 calories max oon a heavy day usually its between 500-600 a day. Now as for as 25 lbs beinglost you started at 190 a lot of the 40lbs and more is from the heavier people no offense I am heavier at 3mos I am down 22% off my body and around 8 weeks there is stalls you will be great

Same here, sleeved 6/8 and down about 27.5 lbs. Do what feels manageable for you. This is a long term change. For me, too much restriction sets me up for failure.

thanks guys! I do agree with the person who said "sounds like you are eatting alot of other stuff" yes ! I am! I will try harder to get in more like 70-80 grams of protien and see if that helps. I've been super tierd lately too! Thanks for the honesty!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
