Well, we got back last night, and we're doing well. The whole trip is kind of like a whirlwind of activity, and I'm happy to be home. I'm trying to stay hydrated, but still feeling a little nauseous and icky in general. Much better than the first day though! I will post more later, but headed to go pick up my little man. He's been staying with my mom while we were gone. He knows we were getting "sliced and diced", but I'm sure will be anxious to see that we really are okay. Thanks to everyone for the kind words!

Glad to hear things went well. How old is your "little man"? I couldn't lift my grandchildren at first and they couldn't understand why, so I showed them my surgery wound bandaids. They became all serious and kind of shook up looking so I quickly told them (2 and 5 yo) that I had the doctor give me an extra belly button so I could float in the hot tub better! The older one still claims she can float better than me even though I do have more belly buttons!

Cute story about your grandkids! And good comeback when they were scared! Our little man is 7. We told him before we went what was happening, so he's been pretty gentle with us so far. He's usually quite the rambunctious child, so this will be tough for him for a couple days. We got him a new Lego set to encourage his quiet self though , and so far that's working.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
