I think the gas noises are normal. I had my surgery last Thursday, April 28th. It's Wed morning and all I had to drink was a few ounces of flavored Water and I am hearing all kinds of noises. I don't feel gas pain though. I don't worry about the noises.

Lots of people experience diarreah. liquid in...liquid out. If it is so severe that you are becoming dehydrated...that is not good. You can increase your Fluid intake to prevent dehydration and take Immodium to combat the diarreah.

If I have pain from drinking too much too fast, it is centralized right in the middle of my chest behind the breast bone and kinda stays there for a minute or so until I can do little burbs and it passes down. Sometimes it feels like little bubbles rising up and you can hear little noises. I still have pain behind the incisions when I cough or sneeze but You can tell it's more of a muscle pain not a stomach/esophagus pain.

Your only a few days out, try taking a pain pill or some liquid tylenol to see if that helps. Call doctor soon if you don't get relief.

my whole abdomen was LOUD for a week after surgery. however, nothing really happened in the diarrhea department until day 8 post-op. guess I was a little backed up. just try to stay on top of your pain in general, taking a reliever every 4-6 hrs and sip slowly. better safe than sorry! good luck and i hope you feel better!

Yup lots of gas noises is normal (I'm 4 1/2 months out and still have gurgly noises alot). . diarrhea is normal too for a while at least til your tummy adjusts. . .also if you had the leak test done before you went home from the hospital, it's all that contrast that is coming out, so be glad. . .you will definately know which pain is from drinking and which is from incisions. . . your body is different from mine, so it will react different to many things. . . just do what your doctor told you to do and you'll be ok. . . good luck. . .

I was sleeved 4/26 and although I haven't had gas pains I have had the diarrea. All that is normal. I am on full liquid diet until Monday. Yesterday I did have some hunger but that is really the first time I have felt hunger. Once I had my Soup I felt better. Remember you have staples all along your stomach so be careful on your food choices to give your stomach the proper time to heal.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
