I am six weeks out and was wondering what a sample day is like for food and exercise for some of you out there? It seems like the weight loss isn't going very quickly and I think I may be doing something wrong.

My schedule is 1/4 c. cottage cheese for Breakfast about 1/2 c. cheese broccoli Soup and three saltines for lunch and another 1/2 c. of soup and three saltines for dinner. snack at night is usually 4-5 saltines with butter (light) I also drink at LEAST two 32-oz. jugs of Water. I do between 30 and 45 minutes of exercise every other day. What am I doing wrong??????

Someone please help!

I am not quite 1 week out, but I think it may be the carbs in the crackers. How many grams of Protein are you getting in? Have you put this in a nutrition tracker to see the nutrition breakdown?

I am also only two weeks in, but I also think it might be the carbs in the saltines. From what I have been reading most people maximize the honeymood period by reducing the carbs and upping the Protein. I am still on mushies but my plan is to try and get the 70-80 grams of protein everyday, and keep my carbs to under 35 grams (my nuts instructions), and sugar to a maximum of 15 grams a day.

Hello,

First of all, congrats on losing 38 pounds in 6 weeks, that is awesome, almost a pound a day.

I don't know if this is the problem or not, but I personally I don't think you are eating enough. That can't be very many calories at all and what kind of protien numbers are you getting daily? How is your energy level? I would be dragging my butt all over the place on that little bit of food.

I don't see anything wrong with what you are doing except...... lose the snack of saltines. Sub in a Protein shake. You need to get into ketosis. You might not be if your carbs are high. Count them. Get under 60, 40 if you can.

You have good weight loss. Not everyone losses mass amounts right away!

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. A couple of other foods that are turning into staples for me are hummus. Sort of like your crackers, I will take a really thin piece of lunch meat and smear hummus on it and eat it for a snack. So yum. I have had this week the all natural Peanut Butter on Melba toast rounds. I have 2 for a snack and that is really tasty too.

38 pounds in 6 weeks is really great loss.

Increase Protein, and lose the white flour Snacks at this stage. Are you still on mushies? When are you allowed to progress to soft solids?

If you can get in some chicken or tuna salad with hard boiled eggs, you can up your Protein.< /span>

I agree with the too little calories, and protein at this point. Change up your menu, shock your body with something different.

Thank you all. I will try losing the crackers and upping the protein! Hopefully that will start something. I did actually exercise for a full hour last night...WOOT WOOT!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
