Recommendations for last day of gluttony

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow is the last day before I begin my liquid only pre-op diet. Any suggestions on what I should eat? I know this may appear silly, but I have tried the past couple of weeks to not go crazy...and now I wonder if maybe I should have splurged a little more on some unfriendly sleeve foods.....

Chinese, hands down. I'll admit that is the one thing I do miss in large quantities.

It's just too greasy for me to tolerate. Most of the stuff I loved pre-op is all the fried stuff. Now, greasy stuff is just icky now.

I do eat the Mongolian grill noodles, but I still miss my peanut chicken, and enormous chicken egg rolls doused in dumpling sauce.

Ok Mini - what are you having tomorrow.....Are you on shakes only starting Wed? I am and I see some peeps get to have a small meal, but not me.....it's probably best, since I'm not sure how to measure a small meal...LOL

Ouch,, today was my first day on pre-op diet.. If I could just have one saltine cracker it would be heaven. During the day was not really a problem, but now I want carbs,, popcorn, crackers, SugarPops,, etc..

Well, I guess we can talk about all the yummy diet foods in a couple days when your diet starts..

I need to have 2 Protein shakes and one low carb/low fat/high Protein meal each day. I can supplement with green veggies and SF Jell-O.

It's only 2 weeks right? I can do anything for 2 weeks. Did I mention that two of my boys have birthdays between pre-op and my surgery??? All the cakes and ice cream. Ugh! Normally not so bad, but mixing up a Protein shake while they eat will be a good test of my resolve! :001_unsure:

My pre-op is 3 shakes a day and 64 oz of low cal beverages per day. That's it for 2 weeks before surgery!

I am sorry ... but remember, it's 14 days towards a new, healthier you. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!

Tonight we are doing burgers. On Tuesday's a local restuarant has 2 for 1 burgers. The kids thought it would be fun to have my "last meal" there. :)

My Pre-op diet is the Atkins two weeks before surgery, a colon cleanse 2 days before and Clear liquids until then. I would love to have one of my sons cheez-its. I was thinking that I would have a last meal the day before I do my colon cleanse. then Clear Liquids till surgery.

Do you think it will reverse all my hard work over the past two weeks?

I wouldn't take the chance, but then again I can be really disciplined if I have rules and directions to follow....

Personally I would see it as falling right back where you dont want to go. Keep with the good work, fight your way past it, you will feel better for it and you know it.

But if you have too, whats your all time fav food. Eat that.

I did this the week after Christmas, tried to say goodbye to my favorites. I had to have Claim Jumper Black Tie chicken Pasta and sliders from Chili's! It is definitely food like this that got me to this obese weight, so bad for you and full of fat and carbs. I was so sick of food by the end of that week that I was glad to get back to my 1500 calories a day gig. I only have to do 2 days of liquids for pre-op, and the doc said it was because I lost so much weight so far, so I didn't want to gain any by eating more. My surgery is 2 weeks from today, OMG!

Well my final day of gluttony consisted of buttered roll for Breakfast, ice cream for lunch and an eggroll and General Tso's Chinese food for dinner...oh and a diet coke....I'm not a big soda drinker, but I figured why not...I'm stuffed from dinner and looking forward to liquids and actually feeling hunger again......Thanks everyone for suggestions!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
