I just looked at my ticker a little while ago and realized that as of today I am NORMAL!! (I'm sure my family may disagree lol) My BMI is NORMAL. I'm not even a teeny bit overweight - at least according to the charts.

Nine more pounds and I will be looking pretty darned good and thirty more and I'll be back to being 22 yrs. old again. Well, 22 with wrinkles.

;-)

Itstime how are you feeling? Sis is still a bit rocky.

I'm so excited. Today I was trying to find a little jacket in my closet to go with my jeans. I figured they 'grew up' with me (stretched as I stretched) so they could probably 'grow down' with me too. Um, wrong! Every one I tried on made me feel like a kid trying on Mommy's clothes. :-) So now I have to go around nearly naked because I have so few clothes that fit right now but I don't want to buy more because I'm on the verge of dropping another size.

I have to clean out my closet. It is huge and stuffed full but nothing to wear. Some of the stuff still have tags on them because I always bought at year-end sales for the next year. I am going to have to learn how to sell on ebay.

good for you rosebud!

I too cannot wait for the problem: closet full of nothing fits.

I do have quite a bit of that now at 2 months post. (-40)

I did have to go get some pants, as I was walking out of my pants. Hubby insisted! LOL

congrats to you for being NORMAL !!!

January is already nuts, but definitely February. We'll need to set a date soon. I haven't seen postings by Ms. Yates. How is she doing?

Rosebud,

I am doing so well, still on full liquids but lots of creamed Soups and they help keep my energy up. I try so hard to get in the Protein and Water. What's up with your sister? Is it her meds? I am so sorry she's not feeling well. Hope that everything evens out and she starts feeling good again. I love my sleeve.

Linda

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
