Detection and cause of abscess's

Lan, did you ever start the voluteer work with the animal shelter? I am wondering if it would help you to focus on something else and take care of someone/something else...needy pets is a great way to do this, as they love everyone unconditionally. I hope you have been able to get involved with this as you had previously said.

I actually agree with everyone. But we do have to understand that everyone's coping mechanisms are different. As a nurse that has worked with individuals with OCD, anxiety, depression, etc. It is a really frustrating job because it seems anxiety or depression should be very easy to get over! But people that are diagnosed and suffer with those problems are really hurting and just like Diabetes, its a true illness.

Lan, we are here to support you no matter what! I dont think anyone means any harm (especially bearded or Tiffy) they are sweethearts!

Hang in there Lan!

Thank you Shanda, your support is very much appreciated.

Yes I started volunteer training in a really well put together cat adoption center. I have been there 3 times for 4 hours at a time. I find it helps since I adore animals especially cats and I'm interacting with other individuals, learning about the adoption process etc. It definitely helps. I need purpose in my life. What I hope to achieve in the not too distant future is a meaningful job, preferably PT. I could use the income. I am also considering training/schooling for something within the medical profession. I'm on social security disability so I will need to know if I will need to give that up if I become gainfully employed. I just hope to be drug free and my generally happy self again. Thanks for asking and remembering. Much appreciated.....

Since you seem to like animals, perhaps a job with a veterinarian would be fun, as well as productive of some income.

SSDI has a very good program that offers you a significant portion of your SSDI while you are trying out working. It goes on for a long time too...I think over a year. That way people in your situation dont have the stress of worrying about income as they adjust to the work force. I work with many people on SSDI for HIV/AIDS.

This is encouraging. I am going to need to come off this anti anxiety med. and maybe even the trazadone before I am able to present myself for actual work. I look drugged. Today I actually woke up so late 11:30 and the trazadone does help me to sleep but I struggle to get up in the morning. I didn't feel that sickening anxiety so I didn't take the generic Klonopin I just carried it with me in the event that I had an anxiety attack. It's now 11:16 pm and I did not take any Klonopin today at all but I will take the Trazadone in a few minutes. I'm going to see my primary care physician tuesday and see what she thinks about me weaning off the meds. I just want to feel myself again before I seek employment. I hope this happens easily and soon. Thanks Joon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
