I've always wanted a sister!

Hey, let me tell you! A sleeve sister is wayyyyyy more important than a biological sister! ;o))))

A sleeve sister 'gets it' and a biological sister is just jealous!

Well my biological sister is 5'3 and wears maybe a size 10 ... of course when we were in HS she wore a size 1. So she definitely wouldn't get it.

Ruthi and Eyfura know what I went through -shared it with me and we do "talk" daily.

Everyone else on this site gets it too ... or will get it once they have their surgery. It's a GREAT extended family!

I've moved my surgery date from August 9 to July 10; three weeks from now!!! I decided to do this because Dr. A is having a deal for the month of July. $8750 instead of $9500.

Hi Rosey... I've got to ask who doctor A is. My surgery is set for July 2nd with doctor alverez and it's 9,500. Are you going to him or the other Dr A.

Thanks, Ron

I just figured it out and you're not going to Alverez.

My Sleeve Plication surgery is scheduled for July 12, 2010 at The Hospital Star Medica with Dr. Jose Rodriguez.

We might not be going the same set day or the same dr but it is pretty dang close so I would love to keep on touch with you while we both going through all these changes.

I start my pre-op diet today but mine isn't just shakes. I just have to stay with high protien items like eggs and meat but it is hard sometimes knowing what is in everything so I use these Breakfast shakes that taste pretty good. They are 9 grams of crabs instead of 6 grams but they work. Does anyone have a pre-op diet they like?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
