Today marks one year w/me band....

It's been a hard journey for me ...

Haven't really lost as much as I wish but I'm still striving and maybe one day I will hit that mark..

I thought I would have hit under hundred by now but no!

Other then that I'm very happy w/my band :)

Happy one year bandaversary to me!!

Nana....why did you have to be rebanded? Complications?

Happy one year!! 68 lbs is nothing to shirk about. It's an amazing loss! That's two toddlers you are no longer carrying around! Keep on trucking and you'll get there.

I wanted to be at goal by my one year but my surgeon said I'm doing great and it usually takes bandsters 2-3 years to reach goal. I'm hoping to get there by Christmas. If I don't...who cares. I'm living a better life now and am finally happy with the person in the mirror.

Congratulations! You are an inspiration -- let's see, 12 x 5 is 60 and you are 68 down in one year @ 5 per month plus....that is amazing! I am so happy for you. I can't wait to be banded -- hoping to do so well in the upcoming year and wishing you success with the next chunk. Happy, happy Bandiversary -- in truth I can hardly imagine how exciting this must be. I hope I'll be reporting back next year with you. Best wishes!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
