Fill?

I had my surgery August 26, and my first fill will be this coming Thursday. Does it hurt when they fill it?

Oh good. I was getting a little nervous.

Thank you bot for the info.

I don't ever feel anything but pressure from them trying to find it. My doc will numb it with lidocaine first but I was talking to a lady on here and she said her doc didn't numb her before sticking her...

Does the numbing hurt? I really am such a wuss when it comes to needles like that.

Nope can't even feel the prick....I think the other needle would hurt a lot worse with them trying to find the port lol. U might feel a little pinch but it last for less than a second because that medicine really works quick. Ask him to use the doppler machine too. It's like a sonogram machine and maybe he can find it better that's what I had to have done the first time because he couldn't really feel it so he wanted to make sure he knew exactly where he was poking....

Oh good. I think the reason I'm so nervous is b/c past experience with giving blood when I was pregnant and before I did the lap band. Both times they had problems with my veins. The day of surgery when they did my IV, the nurse had the hardest time finding a vein and it really hurt. So now I am curious how much more painful this is going to be. Lol

Like getting a flu shot with no numbing of the port area. IMO

Doesn't hurt and takes 30 seconds.

Only once after a dozen fills can I say it hurt and even then it was a sharp quick pain. So really nothing to worry about.
