You look terrific! The picture of health! Congratulations on all the hard work that brought you to this place. I can't wait to begin the journey -- especially the part about being able to exercise more comfortably. Win-Win.

Looking good! Looks like your fitness center has some good equipment to work out with too so that's a great perk and a nice way to keep things going.

How are you liking your jawbone up (i see you sporting it in the picture)? I just recently gifted myself with a Fitbit One, but I'm curious about some of the other fitness trackers out there still.

Thanks! Sry it took me so long to respond. For some reason I am not getting notifications. It is nice having such a nice fitness center where I work! Makes it really hard to justify NOT working out.

I love it. Keeps me motivated. I love seeing how much I am actually moving/sleeping/eating. Just wish I knew more people who had it to team up with. When I got mine Fibit only had the one that clipped to your person and I really wanted a Bracelet. I will say that I have had to have it replaced twice since I got it in January. The replacement process has been extremely easy so I can't complain to much. I am preparing for the day when I am out of warranty and they stop replacing it though :( At that point I will probably try something different because I am hoping to not have to by a new one each year.

How do you like your Fibit One? That's the bracelet, right? Would you recommend it?

Jami

I'm loving my One. That's the clip on one, and it has the wrist band to slip it into at night to track sleep too. Nice to see me setting and hitting goals for activity that I never really thought about much. It integrates well into MyFitnessPal and a charge lasts for a bit over a week.

I did consider the Flex (that's the Bracelet one) but after a bit of reading online, it seemed this was a better fit for me. A lot of people complained that with the Flex, if you talk with your hands (which I do) it skews the number. Also, if you hold your hands stationary when walking, it doesn't count those stride. Seeing as I'm usually pushing a baby stroller or a toddler bike or the heart rate monitor on the elliptical/treadmill, my hands don't pump when I stride much.

I would recommend the One wholeheartedly though to anyone looking for a tracker.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
