Any Type 1 Diabetics had this surgery and want to share?

Hi, I'm insulin dependent and wondering how difficult it was to manage your diabetes during the pre and post op phases. I'm scheduled for my first doctor visit next week, and would appreciate any insight you can share about managing low sugars while on a restricted diet, etc.
