Banded May 6th. Have had3 fills (plus a 5cc primer in at surgery), totaling 8.7 cc in a 14 cc band. I have lost 35 pounds since surgery and 71 since I called to setup my initial consultation. Everything is going great for me, working out like crazy! Just finally got under 300 pounds for the first time in years so that was a huge victory!! Hope everyone is doing great!!

Banded May 10th and I'm still kicking. Down 38 lbs. I had the plication with my banding and so far my hunger is controlled. I had two major problems that caused my weight gain over the years.....portion size and munching/grazing. Soft drinks didnt help either. I've given up soft drinks totally and portion size is being mostly controlled by band, so all I really have to focus on is not munching and grazing. I dont think its going to be a short journey, but I do feel it will be effective and I'll get there. Did I mention......no fills as of yet? But I do see my surgeon Monday.

Hi all May bandsters!! I was banded may 20th And have lost 32lbs. I feel great! I have had only one fill. My dr did not want to give me another one until I stop having stucks!! I am still learning to chew chew chew and eat slower. Which is much better now. I also need to work out more than I am. Have never liked it and still don't but I know how important it is for my progress ! I was on vacation and did ok (not perfect) but that def effected my weight loss. So back on track and hope I can get a fill this Tuesday at my appt. keep up the good work everyone !!

I was banded May 21st 2013 and I'm officially half way to my goal. 2 weeks before surgery I was 330 lbs I weighed in this morning at 269.8 (-60.2 lbs). My goal is 210 so I'm officially over half way there. I've had 2 fills since surgery and feel pretty comfortable where I'm at now restriction wise. Best decision I've ever made.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
