High Blood Pressure ?

How long after surgery till you restarted taking your HBP medication (pills) or was it the next day. I take iibesartan and I also take hydrochlorothiazide both are small enough and I have a pill cutter if needed.

TIA

Ask your doctor because everyone's needs are different.

Also, don't cut or crush any pills without checking with your pharmacist first. Some are time release and if you cut or crush them it can result in an accidental overdose.

Best wishes.

Do you think my Bariatric Doc or my PCP? My PCP put me on the meds but the Bariatric Doc knows more about the small stoma.

To restart your meds, I'd ask your bariatric doctor.

To know if your pills are safe to crush or cut, I'd ask your pharmacist rather than either doctor.

Im on bp meds so I talked to both drs and pharmacist. .. surgeon told me not to take anything morning of surgery but i could night before... and night of... went to regular dr and had him switch my bp med from extended release to regular. ..er can't be crushed... then also made sure w pharmasist I was good to go(just to make certain)... ck w drs on all ur meds and pharmacist will help u too with both prescription and over the counter..:-)
