So excited!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Sandrine and I'm having my surgery July 10th in Fort Worth, Texas by Dr. Adam Smith. I have researched the Lap-Band for about 8 months and am reading The Lap-Band Solution by Paul O'Brien MD and have found it very useful. I have been on the pre-op diet for 5 days and have lost 9lbs so far. Its not too bad. I tried no caffeine the 1st day and got a real bad headache  . My nutritionist said that I could drink 1 cup so I'm making coffee with 1/2 regular & 1/2 decaf and drinking no caffeine the rest of the day and that seams to work great. I have always been an athletic person and am excited to get this tool to help me with this extra weight I'm carrying around. This forum is awesome! I have been following some of you in your weight loss journey and am very pleased with the positive and inspirational feedback from everyone! Y'all ROCK!! :D

I lost all my weight while drinking tons of caffeine. I found that while drinking caffeine makes me go to the bathroom more I could easily offset it by drinking more. The ironic thing is that I eventually found out that caffeine causes me to have headaches and after I got past the initial withdrawal symptoms I have been completely headache free since quitting.
