Vomiting

Hi everyone... I am 5 months post op and have done great so far. But on Wednesday I had a fill and they only put in .25 at my request. I did great wed and Thursday only eating soft mushy foods. On Friday I had some moist Salisbury steak, very small pieces, and I have been throwing up since. Not even keeping water down. Today I'm able to keep most water down but that's about it. Should I go back to the doctors on Monday and have some saline removed or will this pass?

I'm not banded yet but my doctor said if you throw up at all you should go see your doctor ASAP for an unfill. Definitely go in on Monday!

Thank you!! I was going to call the doctor on Monday it's just always good to hear what others think!!!!

If you can't even keep Water down, you can't wait until Monday. You will get dangerously dehydrated.

Call your doctor's after hours number if he has one otherwise go to the ER

I agree, you must have fluid intake, that is very critical. It sounds like you are stuck. Many folks on here have problems with steak. Hope you are doing better.

Thank you all!!! I did have to go to ER AND THEY Removed all the fluid that I had put in since surgery. Have to start from square one again but at least I'm better and now they know what the max I can handle in my band. Not that that's the way to find out but I now know all the signs and hope it doesn't ever happen again.
