Pouch/stretch/filler???

I got my first FILLER at 3cc and the doctor emphasized DO NOT EVER STRETCH YOUR POUCH! I was afraid to ask why or what will happen. I presume it will allow one to eat more but doesn't the FILLERS keep one full (even if the pouch was to ever stretch?)

Sorry just a month in and still learning.

Thanks!

It's called a "fill". They "fill" your band with saline. Where did you have surgery? Swedish or one of the surg centers? There's a good support group at Swedish every month. Skyridge has monthly support groups too.

Sounds like you didn't get enough info before the surgery? Here are 4 videos. Please watch them but follow your doctors orders. These are very educational and I wish I would have watched them before or right at surgery. I'd still have surgery but I wouldn't have been so naive the first 4 months.

Part 4

I am constantly amazed by how many people have this surgery with virtually no clue about how the band works. Please know that this is not a dig at the poster..what it is is a dig at the doctors. Why do they not make sure their patient's understand completely, how the band works? I see people posting all the time and it's obvious by their questions that they do not know the fundamentals. No wonder people fail at this. Sorry about the rant...it's just frustrating to me to see people struggle when you know they don't understand how to work the program.

Very sorry Allie. I said this was not a dig at you. Your question just made me wonder why we are not more informed by our doctors. Please accept my apology if I offended. It was not my intent.
