I've been experiencing a similar sensation in the middle of my chest. I've been advised that it's gas.

Right after surgery I had a lot of problems when I would try and take a deep breath it hurt in my chest and my shoulder even the back of my neck at times, I think it was gas. When I left the hospital they sent me home with some type of machine to practice breathing deeper. It is important to breath deep to help open your lung and keep you from getting pneumonia. At least that is what I was told. The heating pad was my best friend.

if you just had a fill or did any vomiting you might need to have the Fluid taken out. Mine did that after about 4 mos of doing great and then I vomited just a couple of times and it colapased my band. Had thought it was a cold and went to my regular doc hthey thought it was my heart then I called surgeon and they knew just what it was..took the fluid out and was fine right then so do call your surgeon.

I was banded June 13th. Had left lung pain, couldn't take a deep breath since surgery despite doing my incentive spirometer. found out I have multiple pulmonary emboli (blood clots) in both Lungs which is life threatening, along with a clot n my leg and partially collapsed lung on left side. Been in ICU now for several days. If your pain does not subside or you become short of breath like I did please go to the ER!

ShantelleElaine, I was banded on June 14th. Currently I'm in The ER and my d-dimer is 4000 so they are saying I more than likely have a PE, we are waiting on CT results to be sure but I'm more than likely spending some time in the hospital too

Ugh I am so sorry you ladies are going through this.

I just spent 8 days in the ICU for DVT's in both legs, going from my knees all the way to my groin. I had a procedure called TPA to dissolve the clots. It was brutal but it worked.

I'll keep you both in my prayers!

Prayers for you all. I've been there and done that when I was a high risk pregnancy 30 years ago. I was on heparin I'VE for 5 months of my pregnancy.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
