LADIES CAN WE TALK? :-)

Recommended Posts

All right, I still don't see a weight loss on me personally but can this count as an NSV: I'n walking (yes walking, no mobility cart, yay!), I come across the lingerie section. I'm looking at bras and basically I could never get a strapless bra because I was a 46C. Well, I'n looking at the strapless bras because I have a halter sundress that I can't wear in public because let's face it, size 46C boobs jiggle. Well, I guess I'm losing weight even though I don't see it. My new bra size is 42C! It's always the boobs that go first lol.

Oh, and I was able to wear a short sleeve button down shirt that I couldn't get passed my elbow before. So my question ladies is this, what did you notice on your body that you lost weight in first. For me it was the boobs lol!

Oh I love your post! My boobs have totally deflated. Like balloons that were stuck with pins. I was a 46D and am now a 42C....and I have to move the boobs around so they fill the cups correctly...LOL. I've been saving up money to redo my kitchen one of these days and that money is now going to a boob job fund I think. Now..to answer your question...it was definitely my face. I noticed my face was thinner probably before anything else..

Its always the boobs that go first with me also. Just got a new bra, was wearing 44D and now 36DD. Evidently I should have been wearing a DD all along. Went to Victoria Secret and had a professional sizing. When I bend over, all the loose skin under my arms falls into my bigger cup.lol Makes me look like I got something.

Congrats on the smaller bra size!

I noticed the boobs first as well... sad to see them go BUT the only thing that changes is the number not the cup on me lol

my face first, then boobs.. but I am happy to lose some of them.. I have had to wear expensive bras for years..wide straps , etc. my shoulders hurt constantly.. now I am going down in size and I have a drawer full of bras that I have kept through the years.. so I think I am down to a 38 C.. looking forward to 34 B

Definitely the boobs, which are begging for a little lift.

I don't want to lose my cup size! That's the one thing on me I actually liked!

Well dear, you may not lose the cup size but you may have to scoop them up to fill the cup! Waaahhh! I'm saving for a boob job as a reward once I reach and stay at goal. I've lost weight in the past but have NEVER had them take on this new form and I hate it. Nothing that a wonder bra can't fix when dressed but.....

Boobs and arms. I am still not sure what bra size I should be wearing. Very frustrating!

Always been busty even when I wasn't overweight. The boobs were the first to come and the first to go... but not really gone... just much more mushy. Going to eventually get a lift. Don't want to change the size, just the texture;-) Anyway... I've noticed the upper arms and upper thighs just being wrinkly.... just makes me feel OLD!!!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
