Hi Im really nervous cuz my surgery is supoused to be on monday and I feel lost, the nurse told me ahe didn't have the ensurance aproval last monday when we spoke and today the surgical nurse told me that she was doing my paperwork for my sugery monday, im really confuse and nervous cuz she the other nurse never call me back to let me know the anwer from the ensurance company, well the other thing that makes me feel even more lost is that they didnt tell me formally what kind of diet i have to do, they mension something about protein shake 3 days before surgery when i went to the seminar, but the nurse didnt tell me anything yet( intruccions) im very very anxious and nervous that i came this far and they ensurance denied... Also when the nurse called me today she said something of getting a clear from my primary doctor but the other nurse never said anything about it, I did my ekg, echo, pft test, blood work all order by my surgeon i though that eas the clear can anybody explain to me, what would be a clear ??? I can take the anxity anymore

Hi . First, call your doctor and ask if you got approval or not. I know I had to diet before surgery, as did most. Remember, they are there for you. Call and talk to them.

They should also tell you about how to prepare post surgery too.

I would absolutely call the office and clarify what is going on. It's better than getting a big surprise come Monday morning. Good luck!
