Well I found out I qualify 100% for weight loss surgery. My doctor agrees based on everything I've done to try and lose weight and failed at, also found out I gained 2lbs :( but that's okay. She recommended a surgeon as well. Ill be getting blood work done to check my hormone lvls, cholesterol, thyroid and sugar lvls. Also called my insurance today and the cover the surgery in FULL and they also said I more then qualify for the surgery. They just sent out the paperwork today for me to take to my doctor and have sign then I can start the process on getting my surgery!!!! I will have to do 6months of weight watchers tho which they pay for as well. Found one in my city that's a plus! Told me I would have to lose 10% of my body weight during that 6month period which is only 26lbs. If I make it close to that ill still be able to have my surgery!!

I'm so have beyond belief guys! I can wait 6months its only a short time for the rest of my life to be happy, healthy and in shape!

I still can't believe this is gonna actually happen. By my 22 birthday in January or 2014 I will be band!!!Even tho that'll be 6-7months away I know its worth the wait and having to go threw 6months on weight watches will help me in the long run with my lap band. And ill give it me all but I'm not gonna let myself lose more then 20-26lbs during the 6months of weight watch only because I don't want them to say oh well you did so good with that how about you don't get banded and just keep with weight watchers. Because I know that once I try to lose this weight just with that its gonna be so hard. And I won't be able to keep it off at all. But if I had the band and did weight watchers I could get the weight off fast and keep it of because ill have the extra help that I need more then anything

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
