Belly dancing class...

Recommended Posts

so last night i took a belly dancing class.....OMG... These are my people... They were funny, excepting and so free... Ladies of all shapes and sizes... dancing with their flowie dresses and short tops... some had lose skin, some were skinny... but all were wonderful... And they didn't care what they looked like or what you looked like.. they didn't care if they had stuff jiggling around.... They all walked around with heads held high and the "i'm a goddess" attitude... Look at me... i'm fabulous... It was wonderful being in a place were... so what if your body is not perfect... all are excepted...

I think i'm going to love this class and my new friends...

Sounds like fun. I honestly want to take a pole dancing class. No Im not becoming a stripper hehehe but I love classes that allow you to express your sensuality as a woman and we should all embrace that

I thought that way too when i first started Zumba... but honestly.. No one really cares that you can't do the dances just right. Even the instructors mess up.... The main goal is to go and just move your body. We had one lady that didn't know and didn't care to know the dances... She just stayed in the back and did her on thing... And last night, lets just say, there was a lot of skin, bellies and booties jiggling every where...

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
