There are 2.2 lbs. in a kilogram . When I was pregnant 30 yrs ago I went to a teaching hospital because I was high risk. Anyway, they only used metric scales to weigh me, that's how I learned there were 2.2 lbs. in a kilogram. Also, when I was in Ireland I learned they weigh in stones. There are 14 lbs. to a stone.
