It does not hurt at all. If you are afraid of needles, as I am, do NOT look. Other wise it is less irritation than a flu shot and your in and out in less than 3 minutes. It really is no big deal:)

Really don't look at the needle but my Surgeon always says a stick & burn and I really don't feel it but I am terrified of needles so even if I get a blood test I have to turn my head and close my eyes lol so it only hurts a bit but hopefully the person that does your fills know what their ding my Surgeon only messed up once and I told him abut it and Reminded him the next time so no worries.

I'm scared too, I have my first fill this week. I had 2 amino tests when I was pregnant and it was horrible! I felt the needle pierce through my skin and it hurt so bad! How long is the needle In for? I'm nit squeamish about getting shots or blood tests normally but this terrifies me for some reason.

I hate needles, but this is just a tiny prick. That's never hurt us before.

My Dr. uses a "freezy spray" to numb the area first. No pain!

My doctor does not use anything before filling. I barely feel it. Just don't look at the needle. You will be fine.

Had my first fill Tuesday - i was also very nervous about the pain - and believe me when I saw the needle it did not make me feel better - Nurse asked if I would like some freezing - I said hell yes..lol

Very small prick with freezing needle then no pain but was glad I got the freezing as she did "dig" around as apparently my port is a little on the side? Anyway did my 24 hrs liquid 24 mushy and planning a "regular" supper tonight.

Good Luck!

Doesn't hurt at all!!! It takes 2 or 3 mins (and i may be stretching that) and your done, it takes me longer to walk from the parking lot and up to his office then it takes to get a fill.

I feel nothing.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
