My husband had this same thing happen to him!! They didn't know what it could be!! My husband was thinking it had leaked out or they missed or went through the port!! A few weeks later he went in and they pulled all the Fluid out to measure it and he had the right amount in it and they pushed it back in and then he once again felt the restriction he should if the first time!! They think maybe they didn't pull back enough before they pushed in a fill!!

When you get a fill they always are suppose to pull back in the syringe to make sure they got Fluid and take out about a 1 cc amount then push it plus the new amount in so that it goes to the band and not just stay in the tube!!

Not sure if this helps!!

I would just make an appt and explain it to them maybe get then to pull all fluid out to measure then push back in!!

Yes! I had this EXACT same experience. In my particular case, my band had come unsnapped. VERY, VERY rare for this to be the issue I understand, but IT DOES happen. If you have the oppurtunity for a fill with fluoro, it will easily show if this could be your problem. I know it highly unlikely, but possible. Fluoro fills are the reason I now am at a very happy spot. Highly recommend you get one too. Otherwise, its just a guessing game. Have you lost significant weight? I have had many people tell me that as you loose weight, you loose visceral fat...fat around the stomach....making the band looser....

just a possibility....

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
