What?? No Popcorn???

Recommended Posts

So it is March (spring) break here in Canada and the kids are off school for the week. My friends called this morning and asked if I wanted to take the kids to see a movie and of course I said sure. Well then the battle started!! I don't think I have ever been to see a movie without getting popcorn! I love that stuff, hence my being way over 300 pounds! So I said to myself.....self, you are on the pureed stage of your diet, and popcorn is a definite NO NO! Then the devil on my shoulder started......he said come on.....its popcorn, mostly air, and if you chew it enough, it will turn to mush and be pureed! So the battle with the shoulder devil continued all the way to the theater and while standing in line to get my son his snack. BUT I am HAPPY to say I DIDN'T GET ANY POPCORN!!! And let me tell you, that feels better to me now then chowing down on a big bag would have during the show! :D

Congratulations.... that is a tough one. The good news is, that I can eat popcorn now that I am in maintenance. Smaller portions, but just a taste is enough!

What willpower

Excuse me??? That is VERY rude if you are implying just because of my weight that I have no willpower!

Kelly, I read that as a compliment, such as what willpower you have! Hope that helps! You did great!

Great willpower! I eat popcorn 3-4 times a week. It's not movie theater popcorn, just plain old microwave stuff, but I don't have any trouble with it. It's a great filler for me.

Ithink the poster means... You have amazing will power. Some people don't realize you need to express yourself differently in writing...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
