Hello ONEDERLAND!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Oh number 1 how i have missed you!!! it felt FABULOUS to see the weight of 199 this morning???ƒ I set 2 goals during my preop stage. 1) see a "1" at the beginning of my weight ...I have not seen this since my thyroid went crazy 11 years ago 2) weigh less than my husband....I have never weighed less than my husband, not even while dating. So goal #1 is now complete & I am 20lbs away from goal #2!!!

I just got chills! I would love to see a 1 as the first number of my weigh again. I am pretty sure it has been years....maybe like 15 yrs.

This is one of my short term goals as well.

Congrats :)

Thanks so much everyone???„. I seriously almost cried because I was soooo excited! All of this logging foods, Zumba & Julian Michaels' workouts are all paying off. I started yelling for my husband to come see the scale. I am excited to begin working toward my next goal! When I get below my husband's weight you all may hear me scream with excitement!!!

Irene, I know I could slap myself for saying that! I know it sounds crazy, I just haven't been under 250 in over 30 years. Its so in my reach now, but still I can't imagine, or try to imagine, you know what I am saying? The lowest I have got after I gave birth to my daughter is 259, after battling/yo-yo ing forever!

I think I may actually cry when I hit 250, no really................

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
