Ok, this might sound strange but I don't feel anything? I have been watching my calorie, Protein, carb intake and doing well! No issues at all with things going down or staying down! Is this normal? I drink my fluids! I just don't feel any constrictions? I mean I feel if I wanted to over indulge I could but I don't want to! I realize this is a tool only....but dang thought it would help more? Did they forget my band?

Surgery was 2/14! Yes I know it's probably way too soon and all of that! But I heal fast and this isn't what I expected I guess! I have no pain or issues still healing but overall feel great...and the same! Well I will use my fitness pal and log my foods so I don't overhear or drink until I get a fill :) Just thankful others have felt like this and there is hope!!!

I think this is what tthe officionatos refer to as "Bandster Hell"...you've done all the work and got the band....and now you have to wait to heal before you get a fill and feel nothing. Hang in there, I've been on this website almost a year and most will tell you this will pass!

Good luck =)

Its to soon we sll want to come off the table and to feel different you just don't because its healing time no matter how fast you think you heal the doctor give you plenty of time because rushing it could cause some very serious problems... Its hard to wait so more but you will do it and right now you are learning the progam and as you get your fills and find you green spot you understand more...

I suppose it depends on if you are getting hungry in between the meals you do eat. If not, consider yourself one of the lucky ones. I was banded 12/21. I still have no fill. I eat 3oz of Protein 3 times a day. I'm satisfied but not 'full' but I stay this way for 4-5 hours before getting hungry again. So I figure I'm pretty lucky. Maybe you are too? :-)

Thank you Jewel - I do stay full and seem to be doing well. I guess in my mind I thought it would be a lot harder. Excited for the new journey and a new me.

Good luck all and thank you for the feedback. :)

I'm with you! I say roll with it and save the fills for when you really need them because I'm sure one day we will! :-)

It took me 4-5 months and 3 good fills before the band finally "Turned On" and started to do it's "Magic" It then it took ME 1-2 months to adjust...after that has been the easiest weight loss program I could ever ask for.....

I am so glad I did this......it changed (and saved) my life....

YES! I SO felt that way for nearly 2 months. Now I'm 2.5 months out, have had two fills, and can definitely tell a difference. I know it's frustrating, but hang in there. It will become "real" for you soon.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
