I have lost 7lbs in 4 days.

Recommended Posts

I had a fill this past Thursday, I have already lost 7lbs. My concern is could my band be too tight. I can barely eat anything, I have a total of 9cc in my 11cc realize band. I'm getting sick a lot through the day.

Double check what you are eating first......

It is a fine line...a perfect balance between having the perfect amount of restriction and the foods you eat, along with how you are eating....

Also, many people have told me, after that last fill, it took as much as 2 weeks fir things to settle down....after a fill, especially when you are near full restrcition, you ashould be on liquids for a day or 2, then slowly move to mushies, etc.....an irriated band will always be irritated untill you give it a rest.....as after a fill....

My last fill, which was 20 months ago, took me about a month untill everything settled down...I called my Dr. after 2 weeks, and was advised, and reminded, about the liquids and soft foods at first....

Many people immediatley jump and get a un-fill, and feel better...but did they miss out on the optimal band setting??? Who knows for sure.....

I lost 6lbs in 3 days from being too tight. Water felt like it was getting stuck and I had heartburn. I had 1cc taken out and they told me I would gain the lbs back bc it was most likely water weight but it all stayed off

Hey guys! I went to see my Dr. And he did a 1/2 cc defill and I feel so much better. I could tell right away after I drank Water after defill. I so far have kept those pounds off :) and excited to see how much I will lose the rest of this month! My husband is deployed currently and I can't wait to show him the new me when he returns!

I was having the same issues. I went in 2 weeks ago and had 0.5 put in and it was way too tight. As soon as she put the needle in my port she said "Oh yeah, you are too tight, the Fluid is coming out on its own." So she took out 0.25 and i feel SO much better! I am at 6.7 in a 10 band,

This is me. It takes at least two weeks for things to settle down and give me a real feel for what level of restriction I have.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
