  1. Sorry to hear that! I do not care for her NP either, and you are not the first person who has said this. I wonder why she is still there if so many are unhappy with her. My doctor told me to only see her from now on.
  2. I went to Malley's and really liked it. I had Dr. Fearing, and she was great!
  3. I was having the same issues. I went in 2 weeks ago and had 0.5 put in and it was way too tight. As soon as she put the needle in my port she said "Oh yeah, you are too tight, the fluid is coming out on its own." So she took out 0.25 and i feel SO much better! I am at 6.7 in a 10 band,
  4. I am having the same issue. Got a fill 12 days ago and the last 2 have been really tight. I was able to get down some Soup last night but today i have had a hard time getting liquid down. It is my period week which is normally tighter for me so I am hoping tomorrow I can feel normal again. I don't have the chest pain but definitely an overall tightness.
  5. I guess my confusion is why I would have been fine for the first 10 days and now all of a sudden it is too tight.
  6. I understand that the band is a tool. I exercise on a regular basis but I am just having a hard time finding the green zone. I am just trying to see if I am not giving myself enough time to adjust to how tight it is. I have already lost 4-5 pounds so it is helping, but I am not used to being this tight.
  7. I had a fill about 12 days ago. I was significantly tighter but able to eat a little. This week I am on my period and I am usually tighter the week of my period. Tomorrow is my first day back to normal (off period) but I haven't been able to eat ANYTHING the last day and a half. It takes me a while to even sip a cup of water, but it wasn't THIS tight until just 2 days ago. Anyway....my question...how long would you wait before going to the doc? I have been banded since June and only lost 21 pounds...so I am getting really frustrated and I am really wanting to give this new adjustment time to work some magic. Thoughts?
  8.    Mrs. Curtis reacted to a post in a topic: Lapband and that time of the month??

  10. I am actually tighter when I am on my period so I don't have much choice but to NOT give in But I do sneak some chocolate here and there
  11. I guess I am the odd man out ... I had 2 c-sections and also had a much harder time with the lapband. Maybe I just had better drugs for the c-sections I had a lot harder time getting out of bed...that was my main issue.
  12. I use ItWorks wraps and defining gel. I haven't lost all the weight to have the already existing saggy skin, but I do feel like it is helping prevent it. It is hard to explain, but I feel like my stomach fat is more "firm" vs. the saggy skin that starts sagging on the sides when you lose weight.
  13. I was thinking scar tissue as well.
  14. I used a heating pad and it seemed to help with the gas a lot!
  15. On day 4 I moved from jello and popcicles to potato soup and protein shakes. Ever since I had the soup my stomach HURTS! Not my "band" but like my stomach isn't used to the richness of the food or something and now everything i eat makes me have diarrhea. Has this happened to anyone else? I am starving and DO NOT want jello!!!!
  16. I am on day 5 as well and my back hurts. I figure it is a combo of gas, not standing straight up, and wearing a bad bra (for me). I am having more issues with diarrhea and stomach ache. I ate my first little bit of mashed potatoes/soup and protein shake yesterday and it has tore my stomach up. I am not sure if it is to thick, creamy, or what but man I am paying for it!
