Recommended Posts

Does anyone have days when you have a hard time eating. 1 day I'm fine, I can eat normally the next day everything comes up. I chew everything the way I should eat very slowly.

Yes I am TIGHT in the mornings and when I cold and when I'm to hot.....lol The weather is Ohio has been good for me this past month. Very cold temps I am not eatiing as much so I've lost 7lbs. My Dr has no explanation as to why weather effects the band.

For whatever reason this has been an issue for me lately. I've been banded 14 months and I'd say in the last month and a half this has been a problem.

I'm the same way. Some days I can eat more than others. And I can't eat much in the mornings.

Your stomach reacts to the environment and your personal eating habits. Eat a lot of sodium, throw in TOM, stress, allergies and medications, all can effect how much Fluid your body retains. Your stomach being part of your body reacts the same. Think of your band as if it's your ring finger. Some days your ring can be super loose and other days, very tight. Your stomach is a muscle reacting to it's environment.

There are days I cannot eat anything...and then there are days thing are back to normal...I don't have days I can eat anything...that would mean a fill...

It changes throughout the day, everyday.....very tight in the morning, gets better as the day goes on....

Spoke with My Dr about this...he said (aside form the pouch) the band is a constant....it is our bodies that are always changing....

so do you guys have pain in your chest on days that your tight? because the last couple days every time I tried to eat anything substantial my chest hurts. I had a fill 10 days ago and I've been fine except for the last 2. eventually had to throw up my food the last couple days. but I can eat Protein Bars and things that are kinda soft.

Either you are too tight or you're not taking small enough bites, chewing enough or slow enough. jmo

Try not to throw up. You can cause your band to slip.

I am having the same issue. Got a fill 12 days ago and the last 2 have been really tight. I was able to get down some Soup last night but today i have had a hard time getting liquid down. It is my period week which is normally tighter for me so I am hoping tomorrow I can feel normal again. I don't have the chest pain but definitely an overall tightness.

It's so weird. Today I was fine. Even had 2oz of steak. Guess we will have to learn to take it easy some days.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
