Hungry and frustrated!!

Recommended Posts

no you werent rubbing it in! i'm always happy for people whose band is working great and theyre doing well. i just have to accept that its gunna be pretty damn rough till i get my fill.. and maybe even after that. but itll be worth it i know.

Amy - Just hang in there girl...don't give up on it. Unless you're shaking and about to pass out from hunger, being a bit hungry isn't the worst thing to deal with. Also, make sure it's not just your stomach rumbling. After surgery my stomach rumbled constantly! I thought I was hungry, but then it would do it right after I ate and felt satisfied with the quantity I had. Then when I moved on to mushies, my stomach would rumble every time I drank Water too. And now that I'm on solids, I eat my Protein, I feel very comfortable and after that hour passes and I start on my water again, the rumbling starts up again too. It's rumbling less and less and time goes on, but I figured there's no way in heck that can be hunger when I've just eaten and feel ok. I literally have also had to stop and really think, am I hungry or is it just my stomach rumbling that makes me think I am? Am I hungry, or is it head hunger and I just think I am? I agree that bandster hell exists and I swear I'm waiting for it to come get me. Maybe I'm just a bit slower than everyone else. You know your fill is coming soon...you just need to make it until then. If you made it this far, I know you can get to that fill appt. Chin up! We've got your back!

First, you're welcome and any time! And there were a few people on here that posted that their stomachs are constantly talking to them since getting the band. Mine was doing it tonight AFTER I are dinner so I darn well knew I wasn't hungry. But when that's what we're used to we figure we need to eat. All sorts of things to adjust to! :-)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
