Bakery fire...lost everything :(

This isn't necessarily Lap Band related, but just wanted to let you all know that I lost my bakery business in a terrible fire yesterday. Everything is gone, but everyone is OK, no one was hurt. There were 3 other businesses in the building that lost everything as well. It's a tough time, handling this, trying to figure out where to go from here. My mind is elsewhere, not on the band, for obvious reasons. Hoping to get through this all quickly so I can move on. If anyone wishes to see photos, I've shared some on my business facebook page. www.facebook.com/cakeplacid Has anyone been through something tragic like this, and if so, how was your band in all of it? I seem to not be hungry, not eating as much. I don't want to be unhealthy but I just have no desire, I'm sure it's stress and I hope it can ease up soon. Thank you :)

So sorry, I had a major house fire years ago, and lost everything, but it was pre-band. Be good to yourself. It is a major shock to the system! Best wishes.

I'm so sorry, I remember you posting a few days ago and thinking we started at Abt the same weight, and I make cakes as well, so I've been wanting to see how you've done balancing the two. I can't even imagine the feelings you're having right now. I'm glad that no one was hurt, and hoping that you will be able to rebuild even better!

The photos were amazing! I hope your insurance helps you re-open!

So sorry! Thoughts & prayers everything will work out.

Stress, which obviously you have, can tighten your band up.

Many prayers. So sorry you have to go through this. Hope everything works out.

Sorry to hear! I find when I'm stressed I either don't want to eat or have trouble feeling tight. I had 2 relatives pass away just a few weeks after surgery it was tough. Now when I'm over stressed sometimes I'll do more shakes to get my protein and not worry About getting stuck. Good luck.

My prayers are with you. Thankfully no one was injured. Shame that you are probably having to start form scratch. Your cakes looked great!

I'm so sorry. My prayers are with you.

Am so sorry I'm sure you had built it up successfully. Prayers are with all of you. Stay strong.

Its a horrible tragedy.... I am so sorry!! Remember....When a door closes.... A window opens. hard to think about right now but in time you will rebuild and it will somehow be for the better.

So sorry for ur loss. Me personally since my banding i have gone through a few things. Even currently when im stressing my band gets tight. I stick with warm drinks an Soups. HTH

i will keep you in my thoughts an prayers.

Oh No! I am so very sorry hun.....

Thinking of you stay strong!

keep your head up, stress will affect the way you eat with or without the band. Although its a stressful time, defintely take time to care for yourself. Once this has passed you don't need the stress of dealing with your health.

prayers for you
