Hi all,

I've never had shake n bake...& I'm eating dinner w the girl I babysit, who has requested Shake n Bake chicken for dinner.

I'm using raw boneless skinless chicken and will be baking it..the box seems that it's fine..low cal, no trans fat, etc...but as it's in a box it worries me.

Thoughts?

Its mostly bread crumbs with spices...oh and preservatives of course!

I've used it before and it's fine. I stopped using it because you can accomplish the same effect and add your own spices if you just buy bread crumbs and spice it the way you want it.

If it was me, I would make the shake and bake for your friend and cook chicken thighs for yourself a different way. Dont ever feel you have to compromise for other people. There is usually a solutions.

You could try to spice up some wheat bread crumbs.

But I agree with hely88, make the shake and bake for your friend, except I would make a chicken breast for myself. Thighs are higher on fat. But it's up to you.

I also would do breasts but I hear most people saying they can't eat them I have never had a problem and the last times made thighs I was grossed out by all the fat I tried to get off.

I don't see what is wrong with enjoying something like shake 'n Bake chicken in moderation. I'd go for 1 leg, or a breast if that's an option. Have it with a few veggies.

Nothing is wrong with having it but I personally would not want to use my calories on it and a lot of people have problems with breading. You should never feel deprived.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
