normally my silly success stories are related to (something on me or that i am doing) todays silly success is not one but 2 people commenting on my WL.

first was my ole man..do i count that or not?

i mean does he have to say it or get in trouble??

you'd think after 28+ yrs of marriage he'd say it anyhow...haha

no, yesterday, i got home from work and he met me at the door

and said *hey skinny*..looking good..........far from being skinny but def could have tied a brick to my foot to bring me back down to earth :)

second was me walking in to my monthly nail salon appt this morning

been coming to this place for 7 yrs and lyn has saw me at reg weight and at my heaviest 7 months ago..so i walk in, carrying my DD coffee and she said, my gosh you have lost alot of weight

could have kissed her dead on her mouth :)

so to hear someone comment on you (from out of the blue)

made me feel wonderful

i consider this silly success post a good thing.

Isn't it funny how someone can make your day? It makes all the bad days seem not so bad at all. That bad will never equal how great the great feels! Kind of like childbirth, you swear you'll never put yourself through it again! Then you see that it was just a small blip on life's map, that meant nothing compared to the rewards! Married for 28+ years, you are obviously beautiful on the inside and out! Thanks for sharing your story!

You never know who's watching you......

A lady who works the cash register in the cafeteria at one of the Hospitals I go to, flat out said to me the other day.."Wow are you skinny...how much did you loose? 100lbs?"

Mind you, this is a person who I do not know and never have a conversation with other tan to say "Thank You"

But she was obviously monitoring my progress for quite some time.....

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
