has anyone has a slipppage of the band???

Just curious how common and what may cause it?

Vomiting (not to be confused with regurgitation) is the most common culprit.

If your band has slipped; the smallest amount of water will not stay down. If it has happened, it is usually when the band is new (learning how to eat).

I did not have mine slip. it could have or came close. My doctor, said surgery was the only way to fix it. I would have to pay for the surgery.

That scared me. I very slowly took sips of liquid. Increased liquid slowly. Slow process. Got back to regular eating eventually.

I never wanted it to happen again. Terrible feeling.

I had my band for 14 months 123 lbs down with only 3 ccs.... last 2 weeks horrible thought was stuck turns out band slipped going for surgery Thursday to reposition :(....
