Question on the day after

Hi, everyone. I just had surgery yesterday. I had my upper GI and the radiologist thought it might be a little tight and it HURT when I drank the contrast. Normal to have pain when u drink an ounce?

If you gulped the whole oz down in one swallow, yes that would be a little painful.

For 3 days after banding I could only do 1oz every 15mins sipping it.

It does get better quickly.

Sounds like you tried to drink too much at once. Lap Band mantra... sip, sip, sip. The swelling goes down and you will be able to tolerate larger amounts soon. Congrats on the surgery.
